The exhibition, sponsored by Luisa Via Roma, presented a selection of works from the collection of Ernesto Esposito.
Ernesto Esposito has one of the most renowned Contemporary Art collections in the world. He is not only a collector or a shoe designer, but an artist himself. He has been portrayed by some of the most famous artists and photographers in the world: Warhol, Pistoletto, Helmut Newton, Jack Pierson, Mario Testino.
Inspired by the theme ‘Oriental Obsession’, the exhibition went beyond geo-political dimensions to explore the instinctive attraction audiences have towards people and civilizations perceived as ‘exotic’. The carefully curated selection of pieces showcased the irresistible power of seduction through centuries worth of literature, religion, philosophy, politics and art.
