What time of day is best for listening to music? What kind and why?
In the early morning when I am working on my business, I have my favorite music playing in the background. I tend to like soul music, Motown, Detroit era etc, but also I really like listening to anyone who can really sing, it doesn’t matter what the genre is really.

Your favorite piece of technology? Why?
When I first saw other people with Ipads a few years ago I really thought they were using them too much. Then I got one myself for business and unfortunately I started to act in the same manner, it’s there next to me all the time. It’s so convenient to just ‘check’ something that otherwise you might not know. A blessing and a curse.

What kind of technology would you like to see in the future?
Things that can make life easier rather than a thing that is basically just another distraction in life. Maybe something that can automate your decision making or manual work without you needing to be involved. I really need a virtual Alfred Pennyworth.

I have been pretty obsessive about the detail involved!

In your opinion, how does art affect fashion?
It can be very intertwined actually. In classical art we have an historical reference for how people used to dress. And while that may not be practical for today’s world it shows what we were capable of when it comes to clothes-making. Everything being completely hand made. A lot of those works influenced ‘dandyism’ in menswear.

What are you obsessing over lately?
Er………………..SEO, PPC, Baidu, Google, WMT, Google, Business,Tax!!! JOKE!!!

Regarding other stuff? something like this:
Chinese Food. It’s such a strange coincidence that the theme of the this Firenze4Ever is the Far East as we have just launched the Chinese version of MILANSTYLE.com. I have been pretty obsessive about the detail involved! My assistant who is actually from China has been teaching me a lot about Chinese culture and food, which is fascinating to learn. There is such a diversity amongst the country and its never what we think it is as westerners.
